After playing Latin VINCO with the 5 Declensions, we decided to search for declension songs on YouTube. Here is the best one I found with visuals. Use it well, and BONAM FORTUNAM!!

Can you imagine being in a family where every girl has the same name? Watch this video to see how it all works for the women. As if teenage life were not hard enough, I have found a video depicting life in Ancient Rome as a teenager. Welcome to the world of Lucius Popidius Secundus, a 17-year old living in Rome in 73 AD. His life is a typical one of arranged marriages, coming-of-age festivals, and communal baths. Take a look at this exquisitely detailed lesson on life of a typical Roman teenager two thousand years ago. How different is his life from yours? I would like to send my congratulations to all graduating seniors at Mt. Tabor. You have made my 1st year at Mt. Tabor very memorable! I am sure that you will all go on to do great things!
I would like to praise my Latin students on a job well-done this year! 24 JCL members, 6 awards on the National Latin Exam, 7 ribbons at the NCJCL Convention, and 11 NJCL Latin Honor Society members. I look forward to another great year in 2013-14!
All Latin students are required to complete a project outside of school for a test grade each quarter. This quarter, Latin I students will be making 3-D models of an ancient Roman villa while Latin II students will be making a personal bulla for good luck. Please look under the projects tab for a guideline and a rubric. All rubrics will be posted prior to Thanksgiving break. LATIN PROJECTS ARE DUE ON DECEMBER 14, 2012! No late projects will be accepted! Please use your time wisely. If you need any help, please see Ms. Travis BEFORE the project
This is a REMINDER that projects for all levels of Latin at Western Guilford High School will be due at the beginning of class on October 2, 2010. Please contact Magistra Travis via email if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.
This is a reminder that the Greek Festival will be held at the Greek Orthodox Church this weekend at the corner of Westridge and Friendly Avenues in Greensboro. I highly recommend visiting this Festival and supporting our local community. There will be live music, dancing, food, and a bazaar. Go and enjoy!
On Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012, Latin I and Latin II students at Western Guilford High School will have their very first vocabulary quiz. At this point, all students should have made vocabulary cards for their current Stage. As a bonus study aid, I have create a class for each level on www.quizlet.com. Quizlet is a free flash card website that allows students to create a login and password. From there they can access my profile. My username is MagistraTravis. Students should look up my profile and click on the class in which they belong. Games have already been created for each Stage's vocabulary. If you have difficulty accessing my profile, I may have to invite you into the class section. Simply provide me with your email, and I will send a class invite. Students should be studying vocabulary for at least 15 minutes per night even when they do not have assigned homework!!! Enjoy this learning tool as I am sure it will help you all to become experts in Latin vocabulary.
